The leading organization of butchers

The German Butchers' Association - abbreviated DFV - is a voluntary union of 15 country guild associations of butchers.

As craftsmanship Central Association of DFV is a member of the Confederation of Associations of German craft and the Central Association of the German Trade.

Founded DFV 1875 in Gotha. This allows the association to look back on a 132-year history.

The butchery trade in Germany

The German butcher's trade, or about 16.000 independent master craftsmen with 10.000 5.000 branches and sales vehicles.

Its representatives describe their position in the economy and society with the Leading the Butchers. The mission statement reflects the self-understanding of the craft-producing farms and the people who work in them, resist. It also shows how to structure its future in relation to customers, employees and suppliers. Total work over 150.000 people in Germany Butcher's shops.
